ABSTRACTS SUBMISSIONS

The 6th CHRC Annual Summit, taking place on 22–23 September 2025 in Évora, invites the CHRC members to submit abstracts.

We welcome Original Research abstracts, presenting original and unpublished results from conceptual, constructive, experimental or theoretical research.

We also accept abstracts summarising Research Projects, following the usual structure, although not requiring the inclusion of original results and/or conclusions.

The NEW submission deadline is July 4, 2025.

All accepted abstracts presenting original and unpublished results will be published in the CHRC Summit Book of Abstracts, in a peer-reviewed online supplement of the indexed journal Portuguese Journal of Public Health.

Presentation and Publication

  • Presentations may be delivered in English (UK or US) or Portuguese.
  • Abstracts will be published exclusively in English.
  • Authors are encouraged to use editing tools or professional services to eliminate grammatical or spelling errors.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Title length: up to 120 characters
  • Authors: 1–6 authors
  • Abstract length: 250–300 words
  • Keywords: 3–5 (MeSH terms)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Paragraph spacing: Single-spaced
  • Margins: 1’’ (Top: 2.54 cm, Bottom: 2.54 cm, Left: 2.54 cm, Right: 2.54 cm)
  • File format: MS Word-compatible file

Review and Evaluation Process

  • All abstracts will undergo peer review and must meet scientific standards of novelty and academic excellence;
  • Accepted abstracts will be selected by the Scientific Committee for various presentation formats, which will be communicated to authors;
  • The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the submission and for managing the process throughout submission and peer review;
  • Only accepted abstracts describing original and unpublished results will be published in the CHRC Summit Book of Abstracts in the peer-reviewed indexed journal Portuguese Journal of Public Health;
  • The editor will not be legally responsible for any claims for damages.

Ethical Considerations

Submitted abstracts must comply with all current ethical standards and be entirely original. Abstracts that do not meet these criteria will be immediately rejected.
